SF is made to farm, it's created for that purpose, you can't make it both playable and no farmable lol (still don't get it?)

I'm pretty sure when A.net made Shadow Form, it wasn't designed as a Farming skill. That is just what it ended up being used for. A.net has a problem with being too short-sighted.

There is no way around it.

I'm sorry I very very very very much have to disagree with this. My fiance maxed her lucky without ANY type of farming. Her unlucky is at ~410k points, as well. She got these with 3+ years of "playing the game". She is at ~7500 ID's and ~9200 chests as well. All of this is from "playing the game". 3+ years will have that affect on you.
Carry on, though. ^^

Don't be to sure about this. I kinda liked that i have to pay attention while farming; made it far more interesting.

I miss MoR for luxon side FA (PvP) only. It was funny watching rangers unable to stop my nukes. But Oh well. Not like I'm sad over it but it just seems like one more thing Kurzicks (I am kurzick actually) has over luxons now. Guess I'll start going /N and bring an enchant removal now.

Playtime?
A few thousand hours?
I am sorry to break to you, but your fiancée isn't playing the game. She's just farming it in a really inefficient way.
The game just doesn't have enough content to support those kind of numbers. It has what, 200 areas? And if you get some 5 chests or so per area, and you do that in HM and NM - you are nowhere NEAR being able to open 10k chests.
So that just means you are redoing the same content over and over again.
Having to complete the game - NM AND HM - on 6 or 7 guys or doing it 6 or 7 times on one guy, isn't reasonable.

Same here.
I've been actively playing for 3 years now (started in 2005 but left before Factions was released). Right now, I've maxed Sweet Tooth and Party Animal already, and I'm about to max Drunkard as well. Once I'm done with it, my main character will be GWAMM. I have never farmed so far, just "played the game" and saved as much money as I could. No lucky drops either.
Sure, this is taking more time, so long I couldn't afford even one single set of Obsidian Armor for my characters while a lot of players I know have crafted more than one, and the most expensive item I own is the ibiquitous Tormented Shield, but I don't care.
I really can't stand farming. I don't really feel like I need it anyway.

Thank you for this. Some people just don't understand that people DO have 15+ characters that they actively play. My fiance got her titles by playing through the game, NOT by "farming". I myself have maxed Lucky, almost maxed Unlucky, and I have 9k chests-- ALL by simply playing through the game.

As much as clearing the same areas over and over is. The difference is, replayability is a design feature - and to me GW has a pretty high replay value - , relying only on gimmick builds to play a cooperative game solo is not.

The number of people that wanted this skill to stay 5seconds was very small, therefore any easy decision by Anet.

Even if they were decent enough to not need it, that doesn't mean they wouldn't want it.
Sure I can farm without it, but that doesn't mean I like what they did to the skill.

Why do people try to control or stop something they don't claim to do. It's pretty simple I have 15 chars, 14 are through all chapters and 1 is a level 18 perma pre. I like to farm greens, money to get rare weapons and armor, and to solo things for sport. These things give me no advantage in the game. I prefer to hunt my greens and drops as opposed to buy them and I have entertaining stories about almost every weapon I hunted down. I like to farm and I choose to do this as opposed to hunt titles. I didn't need MoR, I don't need MoR but it is a handy skill to stop interrupts from some bosses, areas, and it is suited well for some farming and I once again am glad to see it returned to normal. This has nothing to do with shadowfarming, speed clears, or farming in general and people like to drag that into it. Let people enjoy themselves and quit with the elitist "I don't need to farm cause I am awesome" "play the game normal" hateful crap. Let it go

Get over it kids! It said in the developer notes that it was an unintentional Change. Sheesh
stop QQing and get back to playing.
btw, I applaude Anet for this action. Doesnt mean i couldnt of farmed the same areas without it. Versitility.
Thank you all the more.

Thanks for the split, The amount of people QQing about the QQ'ers in this thread is making me lol.
But seriously, how does this skill split actually affect your gameplay? If it doesn't, then why so much grief over it?
